Join a team of progressive swim teachers helping children and adults succeed.  Teaching will involve mainly Saturday afternoons and Sunday mornings with a commitment to attending regular training sessions.  Swim Teaching may also grow into coaching Junior Squad levels.  Immediate start for induction into John Sugden Swim School methodology will include a minimum of 2 hours each Saturday during Term 3.  Following induction you will take your own classes in the rest of Term 3 and in Term 4.

H2O is currently recruiting teachers who are motivated and energetic with great communication skills and a love of both children and swimming.  In-house training is provided.

 

Our Learn to Swim programme operates from a few venues and have the following shifts available for an immediate start. 

 

  • Lauriston Girl’s School, Armadale - Saturday morning and Sunday afternoon

  • Christian Brothers College, East St Kilda – Saturday afternoon

  • Wesley College, Glen Waverley Saturday afternoon – Training to commence at Lauriston over Term 3, ready to teach in Term 4.

  • Starfish Swim School, East Bentleigh - Tuesday 4-6pm and possibly Friday

 

All staff will undergo some mentored teaching and in-house training and some experience and/or competitive swimming background is preferred but not essential.  Candidates will have a current AUSTSWIM certificate and CPR.  A Working With Children Check will also be required.
