Purpose
The Standing Committees of Aquatics & Recreation Victoria have been established to:
-
ensure
all Members of the organisation have a voice regarding concerns and issues affecting
the Victorian aquatics & recreation industry.
-
provide
members with an opportunity to meet and network on a regular
basis, sharing ideas, information and common concerns in a
relaxed and friendly environment
-
allow
members with a common interest to meet and discuss issues and
provide recommendations for action to the Board. In considering
any action the members should be acting to improve the standards
and management of the overall industry.
|
Two

Organisation of the Standing Committee
-
Standing
Committees are required to meet at least once per year. However
in reality Committees meet more frequently and the meeting
schedule is determined by the members.
-
Meeting
papers including Agenda and attachments (if applicable) are
mailed to committee members one week prior to the meeting.
-
Minutes of
the meeting will be emailed to all committee members within two
weeks of the meeting.
-
The Standing Committee
determine a variety of projects or strategies each year to
contribute to the development of the aquatic industry
-
The Standing Committee
can establish Task Forces to work on specific projects if this is
a more effective way to completing a task. It will also
allow individuals with a specific interest to combine and work
together.
|
Representation
Individual Members,
as well as representatives of Associate and Facility Members can attend and contribute to
either of the two Standing
Committees.
|
|
Members
are invited to send a representative to any or all of the Standing
Committees. Observers and guests are also welcome.
